Dear Prospective Parent(s),

Thank you for your interest in Holy Cross School, a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. The mission of Holy Cross Catholic Elementary School is to provide a faith-filled, rigorous academic environment where students are inspired to become compassionate, competent, and faith-centered leaders now and for future generations. Holy Cross provides a warm, caring, and rigorous academic environment for all students.

Applications are due by January 31, 2025. Students in PK-8^th grade are accepted under the following criteria: Siblings, Holy Cross parishioners, Catholics, and non-Catholics based on space availability. There is a $500 registration fee and $22 FACTS application fee payable with all applications. In the event that admission is not offered by the beginning of the school year, $400 of the registration fee will be refunded.

Application Criteria for Pre-Kindergarten 3, Pre-Kindergarten 4, and Kindergarten:
Students in Pre-Kindergarten must be 3-years-old by August 31, 2025; students in Pre-Kindergarten 4 must be 4-years-old by August 31, 2025; and students in Kindergarten must be 5-years-old by September 1, 2025. All students must be fully toilet trained prior to the beginning of the school year. The following application steps and documents must be provided in order to consider an application complete:

General Application for Admission
A copy of applicant's Birth Certificate
A copy of applicant's Baptismal Certificate (if applicable)
Health and immunization forms will be required after enrollment but no later than August 15th
Copies of any previous educational testing, speech/language, PEP, and/or educational plans

Application Criteria for 1^st – 8^th Grades:
Families applying for students in Grades 1-8 must complete all of the above steps as well provide the following:

Report cards and standardized test scores from the last two years
Completed teacher recommendation forms from Math and Language Arts teachers
Student Release of Information form

Support materials for admission can be uploaded into FACTS. (If possible, please scan all report cards to one PDF to upload, all standardized testing to one PDF to upload, etc.) Please note that new students are not usually accepted in 8^th Grade unless transferring from another Catholic school outside of the Archdiocese of Washington.

Next Steps:

Applications will be reviewed and considered once all the required information listed above is received.
Letters of acceptance/waitlist will be emailed beginning on February 18, 2025.
Once Letters of Acceptance are received via email, completion of the Enrollment process (directions will be found in Letter of Acceptance) must be within 5 business days or your space may be forfeited.

3. Review and Submit & Pay Application Fee

Once all required fields of the application are complete, you must select "Review & Submit." You will then be instructed to pay the registration fee of $500.
